18-year-old student from Mexico Julian Rios Cantu won a grant Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) the development of "smart" bra that helps diagnose breast cancer in the early stages of its development.
The idea to create such a wardrobe item was inspired by Julian's mother, who devoted a lot of time to combating this ailment. The woman as a result lost both breasts. A student with three friends decided to create a model of linen, which is particularly sensitive to the temperature, shape and weight of the female breast. About 200 biosensors are built into the bra, which continually read out the information about the state of health of the mammary gland that comes to them.
In an interview, Julian admitted that he chose a bra as the source of diagnosis of a cancer because it is this part of women's clothing that is in close contact with the breast. However, such a thing a woman should wear no more than one hour a week. All information about the state of health of the breast, readable by the biosensors of the bra, comes through the application or a special program on the phone or computer.
