Everyone can become a star: how I worked with American celebrities

My career path related to working with stars began in 2008, when, within a large international holding company, we involved celebrities in advertising so that the reputations of the advertiser and the popular person worked in combination for each other, writes in his column on Lady.mail.ru Elena Snezhko.
The first steps, I remember, were exciting, because this person is on TV, and here - next to you, on the set. But then the “work - professionalism” mode turns on, and you start making a simply beautiful, effective project. The stars are people who plow a lot, they literally spend themselves, that's why they get more. They have many times more courage not to bury their talent and not adapt. They are great and admirable.
Friendship and work with the stars has always been a special privilege. You yourself suddenly become almost a star for those around you, simply because you know someone. This is a sign of status and God's grace, chosenness and great opportunities. I'm ironing, of course - what nonsense? Meeting celebrities does not make anyone higher in the hierarchy, everyone has their own path.
The maximum for whom you represent value is for the fan club of that idol, simply because you are closer to him and can convey something, help him in development or have secret “secrets”. And, of course, you are interesting to your public friend - but precisely as a friend who can be trusted, who understands and shares your attitudes and who will not sell your "secrets".
And when meeting a famous person, certain advantages appear in public places, if you are together: you are also in the spotlight, you have good places, they let you through everywhere - in general, pleasant little things that give comfort. But not more. And everything happens quite the opposite. Publicity is at the same time a heavy burden, and not everyone can cope with it.
To me, for example, during active communication with the stars (and sometimes even now) haters who have read gossip with a smell from jealous fans arrive in the comments. About 10 years ago, I went to the Kinotavr with a broken leg, and then I heard from taxi drivers about my “romance” with VJ Archie, whom I have been friends with for many years. Moreover, according to rumors, he broke my leg for me.
In partnership with various brands and as a free agent, I have implemented many cool projects, collaborated with Hollywood stars - Milla Jovovich and Mickey Rourke. The project with Mickey Rourke was especially hard. It was 2011, I was on the team, my lawyer and accountant. Our task was to ensure the implementation of the contract by celebrities in a short time. Looking back, I am amazed at my courage at that time: I had the audacity to quickly find Agent Rourke’s contacts, dashingly agree, in the process to find out the entire procedure for paying taxes to the Hollywood Actors Guild.

True, I had to work around the clock - during the day with my Moscow client, and at night - with waking up Los Angeles. Although there were many rough edges, I managed. It has been 9 years already, I am extremely proud of this experience, but I absolutely do not want to repeat this again.
While working, it is important to communicate with everyone, and at the same time to remember: the world is very small and small, therefore it is necessary to control the impression that you leave behind. Over the years, your world, consisting of influential, public and non-public names, is growing. And such a web is woven, in which the rule of one, not six handshakes applies, this greatly saves time and makes it possible to create something really explosive.
Recently I heard that people often don’t remember what you did together, but always remember the emotions that that interaction left. Some of them left my circle in this way, because they left a very toxic trail behind them. But I also learned to think a couple of steps ahead, because years pass, and it is not known how and where you will meet again, but, you must agree, it's nice that people in your phone book are becoming more significant and authoritative every year.

Different moments came in my life: I was earning a lot of money, there were no funds at all, unconditional faith in people and total misanthropy. It taught me acceptance. Accept everyone as they are, do not judge and find the best. That has become the main craving for what I am doing now - I create personal brands that people are comfortable with and who they are “burning” to build.
I am sure: everyone, if desired, can be a bright and original person. I help to dig it up, to “package” it correctly and tell it to a wide audience or individual specific groups. To be a star, you don't have to be on stage, broadcast from a TV screen, or have millions of views on YouTube. All these are just tools for achieving deeper and at the same time lofty goals.
In the USA and London, people like me are called image makers. In Russia, an image maker is more of a stylist. At the same time, I act as a strategist, marketer and brand manager, PR specialist, stylist, psychologist and administrator. All this explosive mixture is very similar to the production work. On the one hand - an artist, artist, talent, and on the other - the one who moves the processes and knows where everyone should be. That is why it is wild happiness to see the success of those with whom you work, because this is not only the achievement of a celebrity, but also your personal success.
