9 ways to store shoes properly (you want to know this!)

There is no woman who has never thought about where and how to store shoes. After all, it would be desirable, that the order reigned at home and it was not necessary to search for half a day those silver high-heeled sandals. Guzel Akhatova, a blogger and space organizer from Ufa, shared her knowledge about how to take care of shoes and make it so that it does not litter the house.
There are so many ways to store shoes, Guzel writes for lady.mail.ru. What is not being offered on the Internet: keep shoes in buckets, in PVC pipes, hang them from old ledges or stairs, or even put shoes on public display in a bookcase with transparent doors. There are also huge amounts of devices and storage organizers.
But do not buy all these new-fangled organizers or use strange methods of storage. Not all of this applies to our realities and apartments in 43 sq. M. I'll tell you about the most simple and at the same time the most convenient way to store shoes.
What to store
Method # 1. In the "native" boxes
I advise you to keep your long winter or autumn boots in your own boxes, because finding a good and durable container or case for them is extremely difficult.
Boxes should be numbered from the 5 sides (box sides and lid), and then write a list. For example, box number 3 - blue sneakers, number 7 - black patent leather shoes, and so on. Keep a list always in the same place, so as not to lose it. Better yet, duplicate it electronically. If the shoes are already worn out, and you have given them to someone, then you can put other shoes in this box. The main thing, do not forget to make corrections to the list.
An option for those who have a color printer and free time: take a picture of your shoes, print a photo of 10 × 15 size and stick it to the box.
Method # 2. In transparent and translucent plastic containers
They can be purchased at FixPrice, Auchan, Ikea (Samla containers) or ordered on Aliexpress. Containers made of flexible plastic, of course, cheaper than hard, but they are stacked worse. Keep this in mind when shopping!
The main thing is that the container must have holes for ventilation. If they are not there, then be sure to make them yourself, otherwise the shoes will simply suffocate. Despite the fact that the shoes will be partially visible through the container, it is still better to number them. After all, in a hurry you cannot distinguish black patent leather shoes from the same black, but suede ones.
Method # 3. In special boxes for shoes Scubb from Ikea
They are inexpensive - 650 rubles for 4 pieces. Relatively durable and can be safely stacked (put on each other). In the store they are presented in different colors, but I advise you to choose light ones. So it will be better to see what is in the box.
Method # 4. In suspended modules (pockets)
They come in different sizes and from different materials (cloth, spunbond, with the addition of plastic elements). Sold in the same FixPrice, Auchan, Ikea and online stores such as "Everything is in place", "Decent store." They keep good summer shoes (sandals, ballet flats, flip flops) and slippers.
Tip: if you decide to keep shoes in hanging "pockets", then do not save on quality, choose more accurate. And shoes must be wiped or washed before removing it.
Method # 5. Trunks with removable partitions
Sold mainly in online stores. They can store several pairs of shoes at the same time or long boots. But still, I do not advise them: they are expensive, it is unlikely that they can be stacked because of the not very strong walls of the coffer, and for some reason they have a transparent window from above, not from the side (this makes it difficult to find the right shoe).
Where to store
Option number 1. Under the sofa or bed
I think this option is just perfect. It can be stored both in native boxes and plastic containers.
You can store and right under the bed. This is especially true of boxes with long boots, which, well, just nowhere else fit. The only thing that the box will have to move each time when cleaning the floors. And see that there are no heaters nearby!
Option number 2. In a closet with clothes, if its dimensions allow
In this case, it is better to place containers or boxes with shoes on the lower shelves or in the section where the bar hangs (under things).
Option number 3. Behind the pantry or cloakroom door
Again, suspension modules (“pockets”) will be useful. But this option, unfortunately, is suitable only for those who have this pantry.
Option number 4. On the heated balcony
In order to safely keep shoes on the balcony, the following conditions must be observed: temperature from + 15 to + 25 degrees, average humidity level, no sudden temperature changes and no exposure to ultraviolet radiation. If the balcony is not heated in winter, then do not risk it.
And finally. If you have a lot of shoes, store them separately by category. This can be done for family members (in one place your shoes, in the other - your husband, in the third - children) or seasonal (here are summer shoes, there are autumn shoes, and so on).
