'I have never done anything for the sake of popularity': what singer Linda lives today

The singer still writes songs, shoots videos and tours a lot. We decided to talk with Linda and find out what has changed in her life in recent years and whether it has changed at all.
Woman.ru: Linda, how do you feel about the status of "Star 1990-x"? Do not miss the old days?
Linda: I always missed and miss only the future! And in 1990-x, and in 2000-x, and now! It’s as if you draw your life map and move along it. As for the status of a star, it never really bothered me: I am interested in creativity as self-expression, I have never done anything for the sake of popularity as such.
Woman.ru: The years go by, everything changes. Has your music changed during this time? What is she today?
Linda: If my music had not changed, then it would be like vocal exercises.

In addition, characterizing music is just as stupid as, for example, characterizing your ideas. You know, I have brainstorming rules. First: avoid criticism and debate; second: to give freedom of fantasy; and third: generate as many ideas as possible! I give an abstract grid so that further the listeners themselves impose their meaning.
Woman.ru: When you write a song, what tasks do you set for yourself? Say, is it important for you that a track be a hit?
Linda: Music is not mathematics. And it can not be a task! It is like putting a task in front of your heart - to work for him or not. For me, music is another reality, this is my escape into another dimension.
Woman.ru: Select: a playground for 10 thousand people or a chamber concert for several hundred spectators?
Linda: I will choose both! These are different planets, different characters, atmospheres, emotions, energies.

For my part, this is always the same return, but the exchange of energy with people in a large and small space is completely different. Both there and there have their own peculiarities, nuances of perception, but it is always interesting. Each performance is unique.
Woman.ru: A few years ago, in an interview with our portal, you said that music takes all your thoughts and there is no time or energy for your personal life. Has anything changed since then?
Linda: Personal life is my self, which is connected with music and with life in general. Then I probably meant that I have little free time.
Woman.ru: How do you see your life in five years?
Linda: Without changes. I am satisfied with what is happening now: my schedule, pace and the process of creating a new one. Life is motion. Moving forward, and in different directions at the same time - this too can be. I have a very busy life, and I think it will be so in five and ten years.
