A joyful event took place in the Knavs family - the parents of the first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, passed the exam for American citizenship.
Victor and Amalia Knavs were smiling as they left the federal building in New York on Wednesday, accompanied by lawyer Melania Michael Wilds, after visiting the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, writes The Daily Mail.
Previously, the parents of the first lady were also in the United States on legal grounds, having the appropriate documents and following the necessary official procedures, as confirmed by human rights activist Mrs. Trump. But since they were not employees of the presidential administration, politicians or public figures, Knavsy asked to respect their right to privacy and did not give comments on this matter.
When exactly the parents Melania moved from Slovenia, also not reported. In the US, Melania Knavs herself worked with 1996 of the year; she became an American citizen in 2006, a year after she married Donald Trump.
Amalia Knavs, 71-year-old, worked in a textile factory, and Victor, 73-year-old, sold cars. Both of them are currently retired. The couple’s official address is Mar-a-Lago’s estate in Palm Beach, Donald Trump’s mansion, which is considered to be the private home of Melania and Donald.
