A three-year-old boy was covered in terrible blisters after a severe sunburn, despite the SPF 50 sunscreen acquired in Poundworld. Reports about it Metro.
Darren Roberts, the father of the 3-year-old injured boy, says his son was playing the sun this weekend. But so that the baby does not get burned, dad put sunscreen every 10-15 minutes.
Darren stresses that the day was not a particularly hot, ordinary summer day.
“It was not an exceptionally hot day, an ordinary summer day. Liam was played in the children's pool, and we put the cream on his skin every 10-15 minutes. But when he got up the next morning, he was covered with blisters and sores. He was so hurt that he did not allow us to touch ourselves, and there was even a moment when we had to sit on the bed to hold him, because he could not lie. ”
The parents took the boy to Holivell hospital as soon as they saw that the child was covered with blisters.
“It was so awful, I felt absolutely helpless because Liam was in pain and I couldn’t help him,” says the father.
Darren Roberts, who also has 10-year-old daughter Lucy, added:
“I was terrified, but I bought this cream just to protect my son, but this did not help. We thought it would work, and it turned out to be a disaster. I immediately called the main office, but they said that the cream was checked and all tests did not reveal any abnormalities. ”
Liamu is already getting better, the skin on his back and arms is slowly healing.
“He is not yet 100 percent healthy, but he is heading for that. He is already running in the garden again. But after the incident, he could not move, bend his arms and even lie down, ”says Roberts.
Representative Poundworld, distributing this brand through retailers across the country, said they stayed in touch with Mr. Roberts.
They confirmed that the company was investigating the incident and stated:
“Product quality and safety are of the utmost importance to us and we are alerting our supplier EAD to this issue. We hope that the injured child will recover soon, ”said a company representative.
