However, Kate’s image is not copied as a pattern from Elizabeth II - although she treats the traditions and values dear to the queen with great reverence, she does a lot in her own way and allows herself what Elizabeth II looked at in the early years of her marriage to Prince William. Now hats are prescribed to wear only on important events (and mostly only in the UK), and gloves have become an optional part for everyone except the queen herself. Kate Middleton is rarely seen in them. Of the other rules that are strictly followed by the queen, and all the rest to a lesser extent, are prescriptions for the colors of the dresses. One day, Elizabeth II said that she was not wearing beige, because in that case no one would understand that she was a queen. Therefore, it mainly chooses bright cheerful colors. Kate also likes this, but allows herself to wear black dresses from time to time, although according to the royal protocol, they are allowed to appear only on days of mourning or at Pope’s receptions.
There are more subtle moments concerning the royal dress code, for example, wishes about the shades of white that the members of the royal family should wear (only white), and precious stones depending on the time of day (in the morning - pearls and sapphires, in the second - diamonds). Kate Middleton doesn’t pay much attention to these nuances: she wears diamonds whenever she pleases and doesn’t hide her love of ivory. Princess of the sample of the XXI century can be forgiven.
