Sofia Feskova will soon represent Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. However, the girl's candidacy did not suit many fans of the show, who accused the organizers of falsifying the results, writes Star hit.
The scandal around Junior Eurovision 2020 has not subsided for several days. After the jury announced the selection results, 11-year-old Sofia Feskova received a stream of negative comments. The fans were sure that Rutger Garecht deserved to win, and the triumph of his rival was the result of foul play.
As a result, representatives of the Igor Krutoy Academy were forced to make an official statement in connection with the current situation. It was the academy that organized the qualifying round and, in their opinion, the competition was held in compliance with all the rules.
“There is a monstrous situation with child bullying, which is unacceptable. On the Internet, a girl, her family and friends are humiliated and insulted. In the final, Sonya, like all the other participants, sang herself. We have no right to include phonogram. And the song was not changed, Sofia presented two compositions to the jury. One of them is “My new day”, it was recommended by the jury, and it was she who entered the competition program, ”it was reported.
Representatives of Krutoy said that the Academy for the sixth year in a row has been organizing the national selection round for Junior Eurovision and is holding it exclusively in accordance with the rules of the European Broadcasting Union, in accordance with the rules, voting takes place: on the Internet and among members of the professional jury.
Most of the parents of the participants are also of the opinion that the selection was fair. For example, Maria Prorvich, the mother of 12-year-old Sergei Filin, is sure that all the finalists were worthy of victory, but Sofia was the best to reveal her talent.
“This is not the first time my son Seryozha takes part in musical competitions, and we know perfectly well that there is first place, second, third, but there is also the last one. And I am happy that my son knows how to rejoice at the successes and victories of his friends and rivals. On the set of the finale, an absolutely friendly, healthy atmosphere reigned, the children supported each other. And they were sincerely delighted with Sofia's victory, ”said Maria.
Already on November 29, Feskova will perform the song "My New Day" at the world competition. However, the girl's parents are worried that the current situation will negatively affect the emotional state of Sofia before an important event.
This is not the first scandal at children's song shows in Russia.
Another similar story began when daughter Alsu Mikella Abramova won the project “Voice. Children"... In the final of the project, 56,5% of the votes were given for the young vocalist, with these results she left far behind her main competitors Yerzhan Maxim and Valery Kuzakov. Such a gap in votes aroused suspicions among viewers that the girl's wealthy parents could influence the result of the vote.
The event caused a great resonance among ordinary viewers and celebrities, which forced Channel One representatives to organize a check. Later, the broadcaster's staff confirmed that some "anomalies" did occur during the voting. The first results of the investigation became known a few weeks later. According to the organization's report, the fact of "massive automated sending of SMS" was revealed in favor of one of the contestants, namely Abramova.
This was immediately followed by the cancellation of the results of the project and the upcoming filming of a special edition of the show was announced. All the finalists of the sixth season took part in the concert, except for their daughter Alsou, although she was invited. After the young vocalists performed one composition at a time, the general director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst appeared on the stage. He called on all parents to appreciate and love their children for who they are, and announced the winners of all nine finalists of the season, including Abramova.
