A culinary contestant came up with a cool life hack how to please everyone with a yummy without making any serious effort, and it worked. True, only until the competitors did not know the true origin of the dish. But even this did not prevent the girl from taking first place.
The host of the American KGW television channel, Maggie Vespa, tweeted how she promised her colleagues to take part in the annual editorial chilli fight several years ago - employees competed with each other in preparing chili, tasted competitors' dishes and voted for the best. The one who gained the most admirers of his culinary talents won, says Medialeaks.
The next chili battle was scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, but by the day of X Maggie had completely forgotten that she had promised to send a message to the cook, and only remembered about it on the late evening of Tuesday. This made the girl in a panic rush to Trader Joe's last unopened shop and find the necessary ingredients there. But in the procurement process, Maggie got a different plan.
“So what was I doing that nervous night? I bought six cans of ready-made canned chili peppers, poured their contents into the multicooker bowl, and that's it. The next morning I lied to my colleagues that I cooked this myself. Awesome plan. Everything was going great. I stayed clean, ”wrote Maggie.
The girl did not take seriously the competitive side of the event and admitted to a couple of colleagues what her "home" chili actually was. Among the initiates was John Turnie.
Everyone who heard the truth laughed and did nothing. But only until people really started to like Maggie's chili. Most votes were cast for him, and some colleagues even asked for a recipe.

And then John, whom Maggie now calls the "monster", was no longer laughing. Indeed, on the eve of the whole evening he went with his wife to grocery stores in search of the “right turkey” and spent a lot of time in the kitchen, trying to turn raw ingredients into an ideal dish, but no one praised his work.
“So what did John do? He exposed my fraud. Loud. With malice. Under the guise of justice. He even made a sarcastic Chili Cooking Winner certificate and placed it near my desk. It ruined my good name, ”wrote Maggie on Twitter.
Maggie’s colleagues were disappointed with her act, but the Web users liked the web’s ingenuity.
