A resident of New Jersey helped find a valuable pendant in tons of garbage

A resident of New Jersey, Samantha LaRochelle, lost her dear jewelry - a double pendant when she was hospitalized in Philipsburg unconscious. When the paramedics undressed her, they cut off her T-shirt and did not notice that a double pendant was hanging around her neck. The clothes, along with the jewelry, were thrown into the laundry tub, and then into the trash.
But thanks to the police, medical workers and workers of the garbage processing plant, the woman found her pendant, reports NJ.com.
The pendant is a family heirloom for Samantha. One gold pendant depicts the fingerprint of her mother, who died in 2011, and the other depicts the image of Jesus Christ, also a family value.
Waking up in the hospital, LaRochelle discovered that no one knew where the pendant had gone.
“This thing means more to me in the world,” the woman admitted.
The police agreed to help LaRochelle in finding the jewels. One of the employees studied the recordings from the video cameras while Samantha was in the ward. He saw that her belongings were carried out and thrown into the trash can. After that, he found out which company took out the garbage from the hospital.
This information led LaRochelle to the recycling plant in Oxford Township. At her request, the workers for two hours digging into 15 tons of garbage from the hospital with forks and other tools. As a result, one of them first saw LaRochelle's T-shirt, and then the double pendant itself.
The woman was crying with happiness when the workers returned the jewel to her. The next day, she returned to the factory with a lunch and a cake for the workers who helped her.
