Wonderful Mom from Beaverton, Oregon, Elizabeth Anderson-Sierra spends up to 8-10 hours a day to express her breast milk, then sterilize, label and pack it for storage.
On average, a 29-year-old woman drains up to 7 liters per day, reports SWNS.
When Elizabeth gave birth to her first child, she was diagnosed with hyperlactation syndrome. She produces 10 times more milk than other women in labor.
She donates her milk to children in need: from families of gay couples, a milk can for premature babies. The woman gave birth to two daughters and during this time donated over 600 gallons of milk. For her, pumping is a “labor of love”. Her six-month-old daughter Sofia needs only 600 grams of breast milk a day, the rest is passed on to other babies.
The precious fluid is packaged, labeled and stored in four huge freezers in the house where Elizabeth lives with her daughters and husband, 52-year-old public security officer David Sierra.
“Now Sofia is six months old, I pump five times a day: as soon as I wake up, after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner and then at midnight,” said Elizabeth.
According to the mother, pumping is not fun, it is uncomfortable and painful, but it is her "labor of love."
“I haven't had a day off in two and a half years. This is more than a full-time job, ”the woman admitted.
Elizabeth usually squeezes milk at home, but can also do it in restaurants, at the wheel, and in other public places.
