The US State Department has repeatedly warned tourists about the widespread problem of attacking women in Jamaica - a paradise island for tourists.
The government estimates that one US resident is abused on the island every month.
Over the past seven years, 78 Americans have been raped in Jamaica, according to State Department statistics from 2011 to 2017.
Perhaps the most disturbing for tourists is that the attacks take place on the territory of closed resorts - a place that they think is the safest.
For example, this year the Beaches Ocho Rios Resort & Golf Club, where the attack took place in 2015, received the TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Award.
According to the US Embassy, 12 Americans suffered attacks last year in Jamaica. The US government suspects that this number may be higher, since data on sexual assaults are often underestimated, and these embassies do not include victims from other countries.
For three years in a row, the State Department has issued crime warnings in 2012, 2013 and 2014, stating: "The number of sexual assaults committed by employees in hotels on the north coast of Jamaica continues to be of particular concern."
Last year, Jamaica ranked third in the world among travel countries. The list is headed by Egypt and Morocco.
