In the amusement park Six Flags Great Escapelocated in Lake George, NY, an 14-year-old girl suddenly dropped out of the gondola on the cable car Sky ride. It happened on Saturday, June 24.

Eyewitnesses filmed a girl hanging at a height of 25 feet (more than 7 meters), who could hardly hold onto the booth with her hands so as not to fall. According to the police, the girl was driving in a booth with her relative, also a teenager. How she slipped out of the booth is unknown. The boy tried to restrain her, but he failed, and the girl fell.

Thanks to the park visitors and employees who gathered below, a Delaware resident managed to avoid serious injuries. The victim was taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center.

The police noted that a 47-year-old man from Schenectady, New York received a back injury. He is one of those who tried to catch the girl.

After the incident, the police and park staff checked the ride and the cabin in which the girl was traveling, but found no damage or safety violations.

The park administration has temporarily closed the attraction for a thorough internal inspection.
