Famous designer Rome Acre teamed up with Tiffany & Co. for a gorgeous design dress with a lot of diamonds, reports Observer.
Rim Acra came up with something better than Breakfast at Tiffany's (remember where she nibbles a croissant, peering into the windows of the legendary jewelry store?). What is happiness from Tiffany? Diamonds, champagne, orchids - and wedding dresses.
That was exactly the atmosphere on Tuesday evening, when the designer debuted with her collection of Spring-Summer-2018 bridal jewelry in the walls. Tiffany & Co.'s Fifth Avenue Flagship. In the twilight, the airy models, wrapped in layers of tulle with diamonds and decorated with lace, emerged from the famous shop elevators and strolled between the jewelry display cases.
The first 12 sets, which featured thin black dresses, studded with sparks and underlined with capes, were clearly a tribute to the famous dress Hubert de Givenchy from Audrey Hepburn.
But in spite of the fact that wedding dresses made of black fabric appeared on the show, the most noticeable instance was the last dress. At first glance, it seemed simple enough: white satin strapless finished with a huge voluminous skirt and train. But with a closer look, it became clearer why the price of this dress is $ 1,6 million. The fact is that the entire dress is decorated with jewelry from Tiffany & Co.attached to the fabric. On the bodice and skirt were four butterfly brooches, 12 dragonflies and exactly 134 earrings. According to Spindrift, it corresponds to 165 carats of diamonds and 61,91 carats of other gems, just exactly $ 1 611 144. The good news is that each of these parts is currently available in stores. Tiffany & Co. individually, so you don’t need to spend a million dollars to imitate this design.
However, not all the dresses in the collection were decorated with diamonds. One of the dresses was dazzled by its beauty, because it had Swarovski's 5500 crystals on it.
