After Jean learned that she had cancer, she decided to paint her nails, telling her daughter that they saved her life. The version with heredity also turned out to be correct - the pensioner’s mother also had cancer, and half of the lung had to be cut out.
Jean told about her story in Facebook. She says her goal now is to increase people's awareness that nail problems may be symptoms of cancer.

The woman says that after her Facebook post, other people started writing about their relatives, who had the same nails, but they had no idea that they could die of cancer.
