In honor of Victory Day, May 9, the American actress Milla Jovovich congratulated all subscribers on the holiday and talked about her grandparents, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, writes "Lenta.ru".
The actress posted the publication with photos and orders of relatives in her Instagram account.
“In my family there were many fighters and soldiers who fought in the war. This is a photograph of my grandmother Tatyana Popova, who entered the front line nurse when she was only 16 years old. To her 18th birthday, she went through unspeakable horrors all the way to Berlin. Her husband, my maternal grandfather Alexander Loginov, also fought the whole war, ”Jovovich wrote in Russian. She also added that her other grandfather, Bogdan Jovovich, fought in the ranks of the Yugoslav partisans.
According to the actress, in moments of sadness she always remembers her veteran ancestors. She noted, in comparison with what they had to endure, nothing seems "so complicated."
