The nominees for the main television award of the year "Emmy" have become known.
The leaders in the number of nominations (22 each) were the drama series Westworld and the comedy show Saturday Night Live. The New York Times.
This year, to win the award to be held on September 17 Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, claim the highest-rated TV series and Hollywood stars of the first magnitude.
There is a lot of competition among the nominees for the Best Drama Series. This is largely due to the fact that Game of Thrones, the winner of the last two years, dropped out of the race. The premiere of the seventh season has been postponed to July, and TV series and shows that premiered before May 31 may qualify for the award.
In the list of nominees appeared newcomers. These include The Crown, Very Strange Things (Stranger Things), The Handmaid's Tale, The World Of The Wild West (Westworld) And This Is Us.
