One day Jesse Lipskin saw an old 1966 Greyhound bus, priced at $ 7000 - and fell in love at first sight. The girl understood: this bus should become the mobile home she had always dreamed of.
After three years and 70 thousand dollars, the dream came true - the bus really turned into a cozy nest, where you can not only live in comfort, but also enjoy the beauty of the interior, writes The Daily Mail.
According to Jesse, she was inspired by the ecological lifestyle of architect Michael Reynolds, who creates architectural structures using exclusively recycled materials, thus protecting the environment. Jesse wanted to travel, look for new places to live, a sedentary way of existence was not for her - and the house-bus perfectly matched the desires of its mistress.
That was the bus at the time of purchase.
As Jesse admits, the most difficult thing was to find masters who could realize all that she had in mind. Lipskin can do a lot herself, but she didn’t understand the electrics, the plumbing, the creation of wooden structures.
Another complication was that the bus - no matter how it sounded - was not a home. This is a moving object with an ergonomic shape, rounded outside and inside, tilted windows, so builders could not use familiar materials to design and implement the idea.
Jessie spent a lot of time choosing curtains, paintings and other interior nuances - and was completely satisfied with the result, because, according to her, small finishing touches turn the bus into a home.
The caravan has a kitchen with stove and refrigerator, a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a mahogany floor, wardrobes, a small library, and oil paintings on the walls.
