Perhaps you have already imagined a picture depicting a bride in shock and a cruel groom who presented an unpleasant surprise right at the wedding ... But that was not the case. Much more touching - and not at all about treason!
When the Portuguese couple Jessica and Jefferson were going to bring each other vows of love and loyalty, the groom suddenly interrupted the ceremony and said that he loved the other. The guests were really shocked, and the bride wondered what was going on. After all, probably, everyone at least once in his life heard about people who ran away from their own weddings or refused to marry right at the ceremony.
But the reason the groom did just that turned out to be touching and romantic. He pointed to the same “other” girl who was present among the guests. She turned out to be the bride's eight-year-old daughter, Giovanna. The groom was not going to leave his beloved at the altar, he just wanted to show how much he appreciates the girl's affection and her trust in him as her mother's spouse.
“I will love and take care of you, I promise to protect you and I will never let anything bad happen to you,” he said to the girl, looking into her eyes. Giovanna could not hold back her tears, and after turning Jonathan thanked him in front of all the guests. No doubt the family and guests will remember this wonderful moment for a lifetime.
