The 12 ‑ year-old boy was stuck in the drain pipe of the pool and stayed under water for 9 minutes and 18 seconds.
The incident occurred on 19 March in North Myrtle Beach, but the video hit the public access only this week, writes Rambler.
Two friends swam in the hotel’s children's pool. Avista Resortwhen they suddenly wondered how the drainage works. As a result, one of them removed the grate from the drain pipe, and the second climbed into it until it got stuck. The situation was aggravated by the fact that the child was almost completely hidden by water and could not breathe.
The people who came to the rescue spent about nine minutes on the rescue operation. The life of a child was saved only by the fact that one of the holiday-makers could do mouth-to-mouth breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
After the child was rescued, he received medical assistance. About his condition at the moment nothing is known. According to law enforcement officers, the boy’s parents refused to disclose information about how he feels.
