Kensington Palace staff gave Megan Markle a touching nickname

Sources close to Kensington Palace say that the Duchess of Sussex and the wife of Prince Harry Megan Markle received the nickname De 2 in the palace because of the similarity between her and Princess Diana.
The insider clarified that the nickname is "affectionate" in nature, as the two women are "quite similar", notes The Daily Mail. This, of course, is not about appearance, but rather about the character and energy of these women.
The nickname came after 37-year-old Megan paid homage to Prince Harry’s deceased mother, wearing some jewelry from the Diana collection, during the first big royal tour. The Duchess wore Diana's aquamarine ring, which was on Megan's finger and during the wedding dinner, as well as a pair of earrings, butterflies and a gold bracelet, which also belonged to the princess.
Long-time royal photographer Mark Stewart commented that he also noticed the similarities between Megan and Diana during the tour.
“Meghan has the same confidence in front of the camera that Diana had, and the same love for fashion and top designers,” he told the publication.
“Diana loved Versace; Meghan loves Givenchy. Their style is very similar: classic and elegant. "
