My american childbirth: postpartum room

Immediately after being transferred to the post-partum department, the child and my husband put on bracelets with the same numbers. Children's bracelet is special. If someone tries to take the child out of the office, the alarm will go off, all doors will automatically lock and a lot of security will come running.
In the ward there were 2 beds (for me and my husband), toilet + shower, 2 TV, table, wardrobe and cradle for the baby.
We were met by a nurse, the same sweetheart as in the maternity ward. Her job was to help me with everything - from going to the toilet to swaddling a baby.
I needed to recover and learn everything in 2 of the day. That is how much is kept in the postpartum department. Therefore, I was not ashamed to press the nurse call button for any reason. Even a few videos did how they swaddled. Also, the nurse herself came in once an hour, check if everything is ok.
During my stay, the nurses changed 4, and when one passed the shift to the other, this was surely happening in the ward in front of me. Especially for me to hear all the information. An interesting rule.
There were 2 boards on the wall. One had the names of honey. workers on shift, medicines and time of appointment. On the other, there are tests that the child should do during these 2 days and a link to a video for young parents that should have been watched before discharge. We didn’t have to rest much, every 30 mines someone came. One time, the 3 people immediately came and were forced to agree on who was first. In addition to the nurse, there was an individual who measured my temperature, pressure and oxygen, and also came a gynecologist, a pediatrician, a feeding specialist, a separate aunt who washes children, a photographer, volunteers eager to help in everything, a nurse, food peddlers, specialists, doing tests.
Fed 3 once a day. Not to say that American portions are large, but you won't stay hungry, you could order 2 servings. Also a nurse could bring snacks at any time. And the most pleasant thing was after dinner, when a girl came with a menu of TAZO tea and you could choose what you want and sweets.
At the time of stay in the hospital, the child is given everything you need from clothes, as well as to the mother personal care products. Then you can take it all with you. So I brought money from the hospital for myself, a couple of diapers, a thermometer, a centimeter, a syringe, diapers, wet wipes, hats. One hat knitted in the shape of a pumpkin in honor of the past Halloween. They are made by volunteers on the subject before the holidays.

Although there was concern on all sides in the hospital, and the husband had been with me all 3 days (counting the day of birth) with me, I still wanted to go home faster.
Before discharge, we were given a temporary birth certificate. For the original you need to go to the state. institution through 3 week. And, of course, all sorts of benefits for young parents, which I have not had time to master.
In the envelopes of the maternity hospital, no one in the United States takes children. First, it is not accepted, and secondly, the child must be in the car seat, otherwise the baby will not be given to you. In our hospital, upon discharge of the parents to the car, an employee is accompanying her, who looks at how you fastened the child and installed the chair. It is forbidden to tell her, only to observe that everything is correct. We trained at home on Winnie the Pooh, so there were no problems.
