Last week, Craig Beresford posted a shocking photo on social networks: his father opened a baby bottle-spill bottle, from which his daughter drinks, and found there a nauseous form of mold.
“Just a warning… you may feel nauseous after reading this post. And maybe feel a little like a bad parent, ”the man wrote on Facebook. Mold has accumulated in those parts of the bottle, which are usually difficult to reach during washing, writes Parents.com. And when my father was not too lazy to take a look, he found something he was not ready for.
“Just pay attention to those who use the Sistema Twist NN Sip reusable beverage bottles themselves or give them to their children,” he wrote. “Even though we thoroughly washed the bottle and cap every day, including adding instant cleansing tablets, the cap hurt our 7-year-old daughter during this time.”
“We couldn’t understand why she has had occasional stomach problems for several weeks now. At some point, I thought that it might be in the bottle - this is the only object with which she constantly contacts. Today I took a knife and took apart the lid. We were horrified that the little girl used this bottle in this state. "
Beresford's publication was shared more than 50 thousand times - other parents immediately began checking the sippy cups and bottles from which their children drink, and posting photos with comments on social networks. Almost everyone saw the same picture after taking apart the cup.
The manufacturer responded quickly by posting on its website a statement that it is constantly improving its technology to meet international standards for child safety, and that this can make it difficult to disassemble the bottle.
“Recently, a number of our customers have reported that they have difficulty cleaning our Twist 'n' Sip bottles,” the company's website says. “We take this feedback very seriously and have posted videos and instructions that show how to disassemble and clean each of the three most popular bottles on the market.”
