The cost of housing in different states and locations of the United States, the crime rate, the availability of public transport and places for safe walks, the cost of dinner for two people, the average income of women ... All these factors were taken into account by the portal Owners.comwho suggested 20 rating of the best cities in America, where it would be worthwhile for a woman to live without a pair, writes USA Today.
According to Phil Karp, Senior Manager Owners.com, more and more independent American women buy houses at their own expense, being independent of boyfriends or future husbands. Karp says that his wife bought the house before being married.
The portal has studied about 50 major US cities, taking into account all of what we wrote above. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), single and unmarried women are ahead of single and unmarried men in households from 1981, and this trend is not decreasing. In 2016, 17% of independent women owned their own homes, compared to 7% of men in similar marital status.
Experts say that independent women are more likely to choose at home, based on their location - closer to friends or relatives. They are also attracted by the opportunity to use their complete freedom, for example, to make repairs to their own taste, without listening to anyone else.
