Marcela Iglesias from California is the creator of the Plastics of Hollywood lifestyle brand, where she helps many people fulfill their dreams. Since 2018, Marcela has a strange belief that Chinese weevils can prolong their youth. She eats at least five bugs a day to strengthen the immune system and protect herself from cancer, writes Rambler.
The girl breeds weevils in containers in her living room, feeds them with bread, wheat and lettuce. Bugs multiply, but the population does not have time to grow much, because Marseille needs to eat them every day.
Iglesias has his own reasons for such an unusual meal: “After my friend had undergone chemotherapy, the cancer returned to him, and the doctors gave him 6 months. He refused from repeated treatment, therapy was a nightmare for him. Instead, he began to eat weevils, not taking any more drugs. And now he has been alive for six years. ”
In the year 2011, a study was conducted that showed that coleotoxin reduces the growth of tumor cells by more than 70%. Currently, the results are actively disputed by many scientists, but Marseilles do not care. She believes that even if bugs do not help prolong youth, they remain an excellent source of protein.
“The bugs have a lot of health benefits, not only as a potential cure for cancer, but also for arthritis, chronic pain, digestive problems and much more,” says Marcela.
