After watching horror films or by the will of his own fantasy, a resident of Youngstown, Ohio, decided to scare his six-year-old daughter. Woe-father did not find anything better than to put on a clown mask and run in it for a crying child, writes The Washington Post.
It all happened on the evening of September 16. 25-year-old father by the name of Vernon Barret decided in such a strange way to chide the girl for disobedience. In a mask, he chased after her daughter, who ran away from home in horror and asked for help from a woman from a nearby car. The father, without removing the mask, forcibly pulled his daughter out of the car, after which his owner dialed the police number. The girl ran to the neighbors, who, seeing Barrett in a mask, shot in the air.
The police found Barrett and his neighbor violently scandalous about what had happened - it almost came to a fight. The girl was still scared and hiding in a neighbor's house, refusing to go out. Both men were arrested. Barrett was accused of deliberately endangering the child, and his neighbor Santiago - of using firearms, and even drunk. Here is such a "joke" ...
Psychologists who worked with the girl say that the child is seriously scared - at six years old children are not always able to understand that a familiar person is hiding under the mask, and not a really dangerous creature from a fairy tale.
