Woman arrested for starving her 5-year-old son

Mom's 5-year-old boy, Naomi Hall from Florida, was arrested after finding out that her 5-year-old son suffers from malnutrition and dehydration and weighs only 11 kilograms. Reports about it UPI.
24-year-old Naomi Hall faced accusations of neglect of children, which caused significant damage to their health. Investigators from the Department of Children and Families visited her home on Thursday and found her son in inappropriate conditions.
According to a police report, the boy ate bits of cereal from the dirty floor and didn’t seem to take a bath for a long time.
A boy with special needs cannot stand, walk or talk. Naomi Hall told the police that the boy lets her know when he wants to eat, nibbling her hands, but sometimes he spends three or four days in a row without food. She told investigators that she would not force-feed him.
Earlier, the boy was prescribed an appetite stimulant, but Hall said that she did not give him medicine.
Hall lives with her husband and two other children. The condition of these children is not disclosed by virtue of privacy laws.
“We are, of course, looking closely at the situation to ensure the safety of these children,” said John Harrell, a DCF spokesman.
“We are still working on collecting information, but the main focus is to ensure that these children are safe and healthy.”
Naomi Hall was released from custody on bail of 35 000 dollars. She awaits trial.
