In Kansas City, 42-year-old American Jamie Ledbetter made an unsuccessful microblading (eyebrow tattooing technique) in the beauty salon, leaving with four eyebrows, writes Fox News.
A single mother, raising three children, said that her daughters decided to make her pleasant and presented a Groupon voucher for the microblading procedure. But the procedure went wrong, and the woman was embarrassed for a long time to leave the house.
“I would never wish that, even on my enemy. This incident affected my self-confidence, it was difficult. I was desperate. At that moment I was dating a guy and we broke up, ”she recalls.
Ledbetter assumed she was getting certified microblading, a technique for tattooing her eyebrows with tiny needles and a small blade. But it turns out the practice is not licensed in Missouri.
The woman was so shocked by the result of the procedure that she only went to work and to the grocery store, fearing that anyone would see her broken eyebrows.
“It was pretty painful. I tried to be calm, but it looked like bruises, ”the woman recalls.
The woman tried to mask the mistake of the beautician with make-up, but this did not help.
Now the woman goes to Kare Gutierrez, a licensed tattoo artist who works in the salon Spot On Beauty. Gutierrez specializes, among other things, in tattoo removal. She was shocked when she first saw Ledbetter's tattered brows.
A woman takes a course in skin restoration, which, according to preliminary estimates, costs at least one thousand dollars (64,4 thousand rubles). An employee of the salon, in which the woman turned, soon left her career as a beautician.
