Malaysian faked a bundle of bills for a luxurious wedding and got caught, according to information portal Asia One.
A man serving in the army in the rank of corporal for several days made four thousand Malaysian ringgits (about 980 dollars) on a copier of a military base, writes Lenta.ru. An 28-year-old soldier handed them over to the bride for wedding expenses, mixed with real money.
It was impossible to postpone spending: the celebration was scheduled for March 30.
The bride noticed a strange kind of banknotes. The soldier explained to her that the banknotes had been given him an ATM. To prove this, he showed the girl the checks that he took from the urn near the ATM, in which he actually took a small amount. The bride advised him to go to the police.
A man wrote a statement to the police in the hope that the bank would exchange fake money for real money. The next day he was arrested.
He confiscated 55 bills in denominations of 50 (approximately 12 dollars) and 100 ringgits (24 dollars), a real bill in 100 ringgits and a copy machine.
