French couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier, who came to Moscow for the premiere of his Fashion Freak Show, talked about the beauty of Russian women and the lack of attractiveness of men. He told about this on the air of the "Fashionable Sentence" program, writes RIA News.
“I believe two countries create beauties in the world. These are Russia and Brazil, ”he said to the host of the program, fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev.
Gaultier added that he was struck by how many beautiful fashion models there are in Russia, while he did not see a single beautiful fashion model. In his opinion, this is because "Russian men are macho, and women are trying to please."
The late couturier Karl Lagerfeld found himself at the center of a scandal some time ago when he said that men in Russia are "very ugly."
Jean-Paul Gaultier is a French fashion designer who began his career in the fashion house of Pierre Cardin. He created his own collection in 1976.
Well-known Russian TV presenter Dmitry Nagiyev commented on Gauthier's statement. In an interview with Nation News, the showman noted that the beauty of the stronger sex is not only external data, writes 5-tv.ru.
According to the Russian artist, masculine charm is composed of mind, good breeding, tact and sense of humor.
“Now, if something is missing in this chain, then immediately the man takes on some ugly or perverted forms,” Nagiyev emphasized.
He added that the lack of culture is directly related to education. It can also affect the appearance of people, the host believes.
“At Zhvanetsky it is perfectly said that educated people live longer, live better. The lack of culture, history in every family and upbringing, probably affects the appearance of people, ”the showman admitted.
