Today I decided to tell you not another epic of success or a loud fall of a legendary personality, but to share an interesting story of a certain Walburga Osterreich, an immigrant from Germany who lived at the beginning of the last century and kept terrible secrets. She went down in history as a woman who led a vicious circle of intricate crime.
So, the heroine was about 30 years old, her husband's name was Fred Osterreich, he was a successful entrepreneur, and from the outside it seemed that the couple was doing well. However, Dolly, as her relatives called her, being a housewife, was often sad because of a lack of attention from her husband, who after work preferred to spend time with friends in a local bar.

Dolly loved to sew, and then one day her sewing machine broke. And then it all started ... The husband did not deal with this problem, but sent to the wife of a young 17-year-old guy named Otto Sunhber, who worked in his factory.
The woman clearly liked the young man, and she decided to seduce him. Since then, Dolly and Otto began to meet regularly. At first they arranged dates in hotels, but over time, the woman got tired of shelling out, and she began to meet her lover right at home, while Fred was at work.
After several dates, curious neighbors inquired who this was for a housewife. Dolly called Otto her stepbrother and decided not to risk it anymore, so she settled the young man right in her attic!
It is not known why Otto agreed to such a life, but since then he has lived in a small room in the attic and left it when Fred was at work. Most likely, the young man was in love with Dolly, and therefore did not complain about such participation. He helped her around the house and was engaged in writing.

Then they decided to furnish everything as if robbers had burst into the house. Arriving at the scene of the crime, Dolly was told by the invented version of what had happened, and she was released.
The widow moved to a new house where she decided to build a new life with Otto. However, the man lived in the attic for so long that he settled in the new house in the old place. It seemed that this strange story was supposed to end, but it was not there. A loving housewife has started a new romance with a lawyer named Herman Shapiro. However, Shapiro worked as hard as her late husband, so she again lacked attention.
After a while, she met Roy Clamb, with whom she also began a relationship. The man was attentive to Dolly, and she told him her terrible secret. In addition, she asked to get rid of the two pistols that Otto still had.
For some reason, Roy did not get rid of the evidence, but hid it in a secluded place. Once the couple quarreled, and the woman decided to part with her boyfriend.
Then Roy went to the police, where he told the whole truth about the August evening of 1922. Dolly was immediately arrested.
But this time, too, she was lucky: the pistol from which the shot was fired was by that time heavily rusted and could no longer act as material evidence. While the investigation lasted, Dolly was worried that Otto was left without food in the house, so she asked Herman to take food to the house: she said that Otto was her half-brother.

But everything did not go according to plan: during the meeting, Otto told the lawyer the whole truth about the last 10 years of his life. Oddly enough, Herman did not get furious, but ordered the “attic inhabitant” to leave the house and never return. Otto did just that.
Herman supported Dolly, and when she was released from custody, he began to live with her. The couple lived together for 7 years, after which an unpleasant separation followed. Herman, like Roy, decided to punish the woman and went to the police to expose her.
Otto and Dolly were arrested. However, by 1936 the statute of limitations had already expired, so the former lovers were at large.
The woman lived a long life and died at the age of 80. Oddly enough, she did not possess marvelous beauty, but there was certainly something in her, since she was able to turn the head of so many men.
