'I lost everything, I was forgotten': Sharon Stone told about the stroke

61-year-old Sharon Stone, when meeting with the paparazzi on the street, often smiles, trying to be an example of optimism, but many of her fans remember the challenges that stand behind her smile.
In 2001, the actress suffered intracerebral hemorrhage, writes Gossip. After a stroke, she disappeared from the screens for a long time. In a recent interview with Variety, Stone recalled that time and unexpectedly drew a parallel with the late Princess Diana, who is of the same generation as the actress (Sharon Stone was born on 1958, and Diane Spencer on 1961).
“I was one of the hottest stars in Hollywood. Princess Diana and I were so famous! She died and I had a stroke. We were both forgotten, ”Sharon said.

Sharon was hospitalized only three days after the stroke, when she could no longer bear the headache. After the incident, she took a two-year break from work, but it took about seven years to restore her health.
“People have been cruel to me. I don't think they understood how dangerous a stroke is for a woman and what it takes to recover from it ... I had to mortgage the house. I lost everything I had, I lost my place in business, ”the actress added in an interview.
She admitted that the head of LVMH, Bernard Arnaud, simply saved her in a difficult situation by offering a contract with Christian Dior. In an interview with a journalist, she called on all women to be attentive to their health.
“If your headache persists, then you need a doctor. I was admitted to the hospital only on the third or fourth day after the stroke. Most people die in this situation. My chance of surviving the operation was minimal. And within a month after it, no one knew for sure if I would make it, ”Stone said.
