'I was not afraid of death': the oldest resident of Europe recovered from COVID-19

Andre's sister celebrated her 117th birthday this week, her guardians said. Writes about it Radio Liberty.
Lucille Randon, who took the name of Andre's sister and joined a Catholic charity in 1944, lives in Toulon, in the south of France, in a nursing home.
On January 16, she passed a coronavirus test, which turned out to be positive. She was transferred to an isolation room, but she did not show clear symptoms, Reuters reported.
When asked if she was afraid of infection, Andre's sister replied to the BFM television channel that she was not afraid of death, therefore she was not afraid of infection either.
"I am happy to be among you, but I would like to be somewhere else to join my older brother and my grandparents."

David Tavella, spokesman for the Sainte-Catherine Labourt nursing home, said Sister Andre was doing well.
“We believe that our ward has recovered, she is very calm. She's very lucky. ”
Tavella said that Andre's sister is blind, but very energetic. She celebrated her birthday surrounded by a smaller than usual number of residents, due to the risk of contracting the coronavirus.
The nun was born on February 11, 1904. She is the second longest inhabitant of the Earth, according to the Gerontological Research Group, working with a list of world centenarians who have reached 100 years or more. Only the Japanese Kane Tanaka is older than her, having celebrated 118 years on January 2, 2021.
All 20 of the Earth's most venerable centenarians on the world list are women.
