Even the birthday of the most scandalous member of the royal family was not without incidents, writes the author of the blog "Stars, Stars and Stars" on Yandex Zen.
Despite the ambiguous attitude towards the couple of fugitive dukes among the public in the United Kingdom, British television people still decided to pay attention to Meghan Markle on her 39th birthday.
A congratulatory video was released on the ITV channel, in which shots from the most memorable public events with the participation of the Duchess of Sussex were collected.
But here's the bad luck: an error crept into the credits, which, of course, did not go unnoticed.
There was a mistake in the Duchess's name! The fact is that the name of the Duchess of Sussex is spelled as “Meghan”, but the editor wrote “Megan” in the credits (it sounds the same and such a variant of the name also exists).
This is not surprising. In the end, once Norma Jean Baker, when she was renamed Marilyn Monroe, exclaimed: “And someone will tell me how I should write my name correctly now ?!”
In general, of the two options, the title creator naturally chose the wrong one.
The Duchess's fans immediately responded:

Meanwhile, congratulations from the royal family appeared on Instagram. On behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, they posted a joint photo with the monarch and the caption: "We wish the Duchess of Sussex a happy birthday!"
The Cambridge decided to dispense with joint photos and picked up this picture for congratulations:
Tellingly, it was signed in the same dry and laconic way as the queen: "We wish the Duchess of Sussex a happy birthday!"
Apparently, in the palace for Megan now, no one has a desire to select various words.
