American doctors warn of the dangers of girokuterov

Doctors from the emergency department of Cornell Medical Center report a growing number of children admitted to hospitals as a result of riding a hoverboard.
A fashionable toy on two wheels and with a battery appeared on the market 5 years ago, writes Rambler. Today it is getting cheaper every day and is becoming more and more affordable.
Only from 2015 to 2016 year in the US 26584 child was injured when falling from a hoverboard. For comparison, during the same period, 26584 flood victims and 121398 people with injuries after skateboarding arrived at the emergency department.
Experts warn: at girokuterov the center of gravity is very low. Riding them requires considerable effort to maintain balance - from the outside it looks much easier than in reality.
The most common injury is a fracture (40%), bruises and sprain also occur, but less often. Most often, children injure the wrist, forearm and head. Children usually injure their wrists when they fall on their hands facing forward. The riskiest age is 11 years (for a skateboard - 13 years).
Doctors insist that parents, in spite of the seeming simplicity and safety of hoverboard, force children to put on helmets and protection on their limbs, especially on their wrists.
