According to experts, malfunctions with the main parachutes occur quite rarely, and even less is known about failures in the work of the reserve. The report was handed over to the police - and soon the investigators received permission to check the correspondence on the Victoria and Emil devices. Detectives learned about the adultery spouse: he had long planned to spend a holiday with his mistress and was thinking about buying a house for their life together.
The police picked up the sergeant's banking history, learned of his many debts, and concluded that Emil was planning to kill his wife and get money for her life insurance. While Victoria was in the intensive care unit and recovered from the fall, her husband was preparing documents for the insurance company. “He didn't even say he loved me,” Victoria later told police.
