Deripaska filed a lawsuit against Vashukevich and her “sex trainer” Alexander Kirillov and demanded that photos and videos with him be removed from social networks. After that, Roskomnadzor added the FBK investigation about the businessman to the list of prohibited resources.
Later, the Thai authorities detained Vashukevich and Kirillov. They and six other citizens of Russia and Belarus were accused of conducting illegal sex trainings. They did not admit guilt.
After the arrest, Rybka and Leslie sought asylum in the United States in exchange for information about Russia's alleged involvement in the US 2016 presidential election of the year. According to Rybka, she had notes where Deripaska discussed this.
