The data comes as the country is debating when to return children to school. In some cases, outbreaks of coronavirus have been registered in child care, writes The babel.

The incidence of childhood morbidity in America has jumped 40%, and now the number of infected young patients exceeds 338 thousand. Until July 16, there were 241 thousand sick children in the country. At the moment, they make up almost 9% of the total number of patients.
Now mortality as a result of complications of coronavirus does not exceed 0,3% on average - this is almost 0,8% of the total number of deaths. In 20 states, no deaths of children from the disease were recorded at all. In 25 - they make up 10% of the total number of patients.
In total, 86 children have died from coronavirus in the United States. A few days ago, the victim became 6-year-old Ukrainian from Tennessee.
According to CNN, American schools are undecided on whether to return children to school. Health officials still don't understand the effects the virus has on children. Some schools have already opened their doors, while others are awaiting epidemic stabilization.
