Men launched a new movement calling for celibacy.
MGTOW Is the name of an online movement that is mostly active on the site Reddit and encourages men to completely avoid relationships with women.
The online movement Men Go Their Own Path is trying to convince modern men that relationships with women are detrimental to them.
Leaders of the new campaign claim that this happened because society is biased towards men. On MGTOW.com, the traffic is described as:
"We affirm the principle that everyone is his own master, and a modern man must preserve and protect his independence above all else."
Also on the site add:
"It is necessary to give up worship, service and kneeling for the opportunity to be a one-time necessity."
Movement activists argue that Western civilization is a "gynocentric" system that values women, taking men for granted.
The MGTOW manifest is the word “No”.
"We say no to silly prejudices, cultural and social stereotypes that indicate what a man should be."
The movement, which appeared mainly as a negative reaction to feminism, convinces us that for their own happiness, modern men are better off avoiding long-term relationships with women.
Activists go so far that they call celibacy the only opportunity for a man’s happiness. This, in their opinion, will save them from alimony, sexually transmitted diseases, and rape charges.
One post on the group's website states: “60% of all life-threatening diseases of today, plus the likelihood of divorce, mounting debt and all the wasted time that would be better spent working ... Celibacy / MGTOW is not just a social movement. It's a matter of life and death. ”
The movement also does not encourage friendships with women. They believe that if there is no working need to intersect with women, then such a relationship should have no place. One forum post Reddit it is called “If you still have friends with them, think about it”.
This site is not the only site where such statements are distributed. In particular, YouTube replete with videos praising the virtues of men living without women.
