The shocking story occurred in the hospital Pervouralsk. 31-year-old Anton Yarin, a plumber with a criminal past, took patients for several days (including a minor girl) as a gynecologist, before the deception was revealed, writes The Daily Mail.
A husband and father, Yarin had previously been convicted of theft and was serving a sentence behind bars. Appearing in the city hospital number 1, he put on a white gown and, posing as various professional specialists, received patients. Yarin managed to visit both the surgeon, and the therapist, and the gynecologist. Under the guise of an emergency room doctor, he led a gynecological examination to a minor patient who was awaiting a surgeon.
How could it happen? The head physician of the hospital, Nikolay Shaidurov, told journalists that more than 300 specialized specialists work in the hospital, so the majority decided that this was just a new doctor. One of the doctors exposed the plumber-gynecologist, asking him to show his passport.
It turned out that Yarin had previously impersonated other people - he “was” a policeman, an auditor, and a prosecutor. The offender himself claims that “he just came to visit a friend and put on a robe”. But the surveillance cameras deployed in the hospital show a completely different version. By the way, the video shows that Yarin really behaved confidently - perhaps that is why for a long time no one suspected anything. One of the witnesses said that he had met Yarin before - at the blood transfusion station, where he pretended to be a neurosurgeon. An eyewitness claims that a man knows how to “rub into trust”.
It is curious that no one is going to punish the plumber-gynecologist. According to the administration and police officers, there were no complaints from patients, and therefore there are no grounds for arrest or sanctions.
