It is known that the boy was playing in the courtyard yard and saw a snake, which he grabbed by the tail of natural children's interest. Snake, which turned out to be a dangerous mokassin, or copper-headed shield-ear (Agkistrodon contortrix, poisonous viper), bit the baby. A spokesman said the snake was caught alive immediately after the incident.
The child was first taken to the hospital, located directly at the base, and then taken to the trauma center of Pensacola, where he will receive treatment and recover from the injury. Now, according to the official statement of the base, the administration is taking enhanced security measures to prevent a recurrence of the accident in the future.
