In the southern part of Minneapolis, Minnesota, an explosion occurred in a private school. Minnehaha Academy's Upper School.
One woman died, one man went missing after the explosion, reports CBS Minnesota.
It is noted that before the explosion, which occurred around 10: 30 in the morning, there was a smell of gas at school.
Minnehaha Academy's Upper School It is a private Christian school for students from pre-school age to 12 grade, and is located at: 3100 W River Parkway.

The deceased woman, Ruth Berg, worked for 17 for years at school as a receptionist. The man who went missing is also a full-time employee.
Nine people were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Most have broken bones and head injuries from falling bricks and debris. One of the victims, Brian Duffy, is still in critical condition. Duffy is the assistant football coach at the school. Three other victims are in satisfactory condition, and five of them have been discharged from the hospital.
According to Minneapolis officials, not a single child was injured in the incident.
The city police claims that the contractors who repaired the building damaged the gas pipeline, which caused the explosion.
