Unbelievable, but it is a fact. Just like the 1 of the 30 people born today, Taylor Mule is a twin. But the uniqueness of her case is that she is her own twin. No, no, you heard right, says New York Post.
Taylor was born with a very rare case of chimerism, a phenomenon in which the cells of two twins during fetal development merge into one person. For the first time, the girl paid attention to the fact that she was not like others, at the age of five. She was engaged in dancing and in the dressing room she noticed that only she has a bright dividing strip in the middle of her abdomen, while on one side of her body her skin is pink, and on the other she is paler.
At first, the doctors decided that this was one of the variations of birthmarks, but over time, the girl began to show health problems - autoimmune diseases. No one could understand why she was sick until the genetic tests were done. It turned out that Taylor is "made up" of different sets of genes, since she contains the cells of her twin.
Science knows cases of so-called twin parasites, when one of the children seems to join the body of the other, but in the case of Taylor, outwardly, almost everything is in order. However, there is a real war inside: the twin cells are attacking her body, and the girl is sick. Now she is constantly taking drugs that suppress immunity, she is on a medical diet, but all this does not help much.
However, Taylor does not give up - she performs on stage with musical compositions, uploads her photos on Instagram and encourages people to “not judge a book by the cover,” telling her story and trying to inspire others with her example.
