41-year-old Nicola Hitchen was in the final stages of cancer when the new spouse of her ex-husband, Claire Hitchin, decided to help her and raise money for treatment, says Mirror.
In March, the doctors told Nikola that she had no chance, and no one else could do anything. The mother of two children went from England to Turkey to receive an ultramodern chemotherapy treatment, making it out of the last hope for salvation. After 10 days of the course, she was surprisingly much easier. Most of the tumors in Nikola's body have decreased significantly. But she ran out of money.
The first course of treatment cost about US $ 100 thousand. And then Claire Hitchen decided to help her husband's ex-wife by organizing a large-scale crowdfunding campaign, thanks to which she planned to raise the necessary amount of money. “Joe and Jake are like adopted children to me,” says Claire. "Boys need a mom, and she deserves the chance to see them grow up as men and start families of their own."
The campaign also plans to collect additional 50-60 thousands for future treatment courses. Now they already have half the amount. At the moment, the main tumor in the abdomen of Nicola has almost disappeared, and the others in her liver and spine have decreased significantly. The secondary tumor in the lungs disappeared completely.
