Celentano was loved in the USSR. But nevertheless, cultural officials, having allowed the “Taming of the Shrew” to be shown in cinemas, demanded to cut out some rather harmless scenes.
The Soviet audience, for example, did not see how Lisa tested her friend's hairdo in a restaurant when the latter began to flirt with Elia. For some reason, shots were also sent to the trash, where the main character acts as a cow midwife.
Censors can still be forgiven for not admitting to showing the moment when Lisa is trying to seduce Elia, given that “there was no sex in the USSR”. But why was it necessary to cut out a scene with poachers in which the Celentano character knocks out weapons from their hands with well-aimed shots?
