Amazing case: a twin brother saved the prematurity of a boy

A resident of Wales told Bi-bi-sias one of her very premature twins abruptly recovered when his brother was put into his incubator.
Hannah Zimunya is sure that her son Dylan saved the life of Daniol by simply hugging him.
Identical twins were born in October 2018 of the year. When labor began at the 25-year-old Hannah in the 28 week of pregnancy, the doctors tried to stop them for two days, but without success. The boys were born with a weight of 900 g (Dylan) and 700 g (Daniol). Daniol was smaller and weaker.
For two months after birth, Daniol was in intensive care and could not breathe on his own, while Dylan quickly grew stronger and was discharged from the hospital.
A family in which, in addition to the twins, there are three more children, lived 60 km from the hospital, and Hannah could not be around the clock in the neonatal ward near Daniol.
The day came when the doctors advised the parents to say goodbye to Deiniol - they no longer hoped for improvement. Hannah and her husband brought Dylan and put him in the incubator next to his brother - so that he hugged him, as everyone thought, the last time.

The hug lasted only five minutes. But on the same day, the state of little Daniol suddenly improved. After a few hours, doctors switched it to 100% with an 50 percent forced oxygen supply.
“When I called the hospital and asked how the baby was doing, the doctors said that he was much better and that for the first time it was possible to cut the artificial oxygen supply in half,” Hannah says.
“It was hard to believe. Dylan managed to help Deiniol in some way. He just stayed there, and he immediately felt better. Neither I nor the doctors expected this. "
“But the next day [Deiniol] got worse again, and he was completely on oxygen again,” Hannah recalls. "And the nurses said bring Dylan again, let him hug Deiniol again."
Two days later, Daniola could be completely removed from ventilation. It was a miracle.
“He hugged his brother and this saved his life, - says the mother of the boys. “It was happiness to see it, and it taught us that they didn’t have to be separated in principle.”

Dylan was settled in the hospital next to his brother for another two months. In January of this year, he still went home, and Daniola was finally discharged to her four brothers and sisters in April.
He still needs daily oxygen support, but his prognosis is very optimistic.
The twins celebrated their first birthday with a noisy party with their brother TJ, who is 8 years old, six-year-old sister Lily and three-year-old Tandi.
“There was a time when we thought there would be no birthday,” says Hannah. - A terrible time for us. We are infinitely grateful to the doctors ”.
In hospitals, a similar practice occurs when, when nursing premature twins, they are placed next to one incubator. However, there is no convincing evidence of the benefits of this.
