An unexpected turn of fate began when, on New Year's Eve, a pregnant woman turned to the Hospital of St. Vincent Carmel with fears about the lack of movement of the babies in the uterus. Although twins should not actually have been born before February 19, Gilliam gave birth to her first child at 23:37 on New Year's Eve. Newborn Jocelyn was the last child of 2019 born in this hospital.
Just 30 minutes later, her brother Jackson was born - at 00:07, but already on January 1, 2020. He became the first child born in this hospital in the new year.

Twins father Jason Tello told reporters that he was “still a little stunned” by this rare occurrence.

Gilliam, who already has 5-year-old son Gabriel and 10-year-old son James, said her newborn children already have distinctive features. Jocelyn, according to his mother, already communicates well with his father.
