A teacher in a Louisiana high school was handcuffed by police officers from a school board meeting after she demanded a pay rise, The Daily Mail.
An art teacher at Deishia Hargrave High School complained to the board that the school superintendent had been awarded a new contract with the right to raise salaries, without the teachers being affected. “I think this is a slap in the face for teachers, cafeteria workers and other staff who work here,” Hargrave said. According to the woman, when she started working, there were 20 children in each class, now there are, on average, 29, and no one raises the salaries of teachers. “Where do you get the money to raise the salaries of managers? Out of our pockets, ”the woman continued.
Judging by the video, she asked questions calmly enough when the guard approached her and demanded to leave the room, grabbed her hands, the woman asked him not to do it, but in the end she followed him. Halfway down the hallway, he forced Hargrave to lie down on the floor and handcuffed him, after which he pushed him out of the building.
The school authorities said it was not a question and answer session, and Hargrave violated the generally accepted order. But the charges against the teacher will not be brought.
