Scientists at the University of Sussex in England came to the conclusion that aspartame artificial sweetener can pose a serious threat to human health.
Researchers found that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) had discounted the results of studies indicating harmful additives. This is reported in a press release on MedicalXpress, quoted Lenta.ru report.

Experts have demonstrated that EFSA, which in 2013 year declared the safety of aspartame, ignored 73 studies indicating negative health effects from the use of sweetener, and 84 presented a percentage of scientific works, the results of which showed no obvious harm, as absolutely reliable.
However, many of the 73 studies are more reliable than those that allegedly confirm the harmlessness of aspartame.
