Researchers at the University of British Columbia in Canada found that men, despite their greater weight and larger physique, are inferior to women in endurance, physical exertion and the duration of exercise, writes Evening Standard.
Experiments have shown that the power abilities of men after 200-multiple repetition of exercises were reduced by 15% more intensively than in women. Brian Dalton, a professor of neurophysiology, says that men are more easily depleted physically than women of the same age and fitness after doing the most standard exercises.
Remembering American reality shows (for example, Survivor), the expert draws attention to the fact that in endurance competitions women usually hold out longer than men. It is both about the total duration of large loads, and about resistance to extreme stress, with which women also do an excellent job.
“Women are superior to men with a tangible difference on this issue,” says Dalton. The study involved eight men and nine women who had to repeat the exercises. Experts recorded the speed, strength, muscle activity of the participants. According to Dalton, a man can be stronger and faster than a woman, but in matters of endurance, both physical and psychological, the fair (and not at all weaker) sex has no equal.
